My Answers to the Questions:
1. In reference to the 6 Assessment Points for student blogs, how would you, as an educator, add or take away from this list?
I think under the first question, I would add individual grading for aspects like grammar, spelling, and sentence structure. Not just related to how well developed was the writing as such, but also the mechanics of writing. I think that if we are going to have students write then we should be having them write properly.
I think that for question 3, I would also add specific content requirements that the students were requirements. I personally don't think that I take away anything from these questions.

2. If you were obligated to use a blog, how would you use one in your unique educational setting?
If I was obligated to use a blog in my classroom, I think that I would use it to keep in touch with parents. They could keep up with things in the classroom by RSS feed, where it could be automatically sent to their email addresses. I think that I would put things like what we were currently working on in class at the time, times where parents could come in a volunteer, upcoming Parent-Teacher Conferences or PTA meetings, and anything else that is interesting in relation to the classroom. For my students using it, because I am focusing on the lower Elementary grades, I am still not sure. But I think in the upper Elementary school like 3-5th, they could answer questions by using the comment boxes. Or perhaps do extra credit by creating their own blog and posting their assignments to the blog.

  9. Ans2. Instead of having my students keeping a regular spiral science journal, I think blogging would be amazing to keep my students really discuss conclusions about lab experiments.

  17. I would not take anything away from the list. As a History and Criminal Justice teacher, I would use the Blog to get student feedback on current events. And releate these to past events historically.
